    Senior Pastor

Reverend Christy Foldenauer joined the Tomahawk family in November 2016. After a career in the financial services industry, Christy earned her Master of Theology degree at Baptist Theological Seminary of Richmond in 2014, and was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel in March of 2015. She previously served as a Discipleship Pastor and also an Interim Youth Pastor, and has been involved in music and worship arts, as well. Her undergrad degree in Communication is from James Madison University. She is married to Adam and together they have three kids. When she's away from work, Christy loves creative endeavors, music, and is an avid reader.

  • Rev. ross wright

    worship pastor

Ross became a part of the Tomahawk team in the summer of 2018. Since his early teens, Ross has been a part of various worship teams, bands, songwriting groups and recording projects. In his ministry career, he has served in churches as worship leader, arts director and teaching pastor.  When he is not at work, Ross can be found writing and recording music, collaborating with other artists, story writing, and playing in his sister's band (Rebekah Rafferty & the Wakes). Ross and his wife Amanda have three kids and a cat.

    Youth Pastor

Toby is the newest member of our staff. From a small town in Georgia, he came to faith in his teens and was mentored by two people who modeled faithfulness and wisdom. It was during these years that Toby's passion to grow the next generation began. While continuing to serve in his local church he studied art and philosophy at the University of North Georgia, where he met his wife, Leah. After graduation they spent two years doing ministry work in Central Asia before moving to Richmond in 2018. Toby loves to create visual art and play music. He also is a podcast addict. Given any free time you'll probably find him reading with an animal named Cleocatra nearby.

  • Virginia Otey

    children's pastor

Virginia couldn't be more excited to start her ministry career at Tomahawk. She comes to us after two summers of interning at Friendship Baptist and three years of serving at Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM) at VCU. She is currently finishing her senior year at Virginia Commonwealth University and plans to attend seminary after graduation. Virginia can also be found working as a financial assistant for the Support Ministry Team of the BGAV, drinking way too much coffee, and enjoying everything RVA has to offer.

    office administrator

Becky is the one who holds down the front office while supporting the TBC community. Before coming to TBC, Becky was a data/business analyst. After a hiatus from the corporate environment to spend more time with her family, she joined our team in February of 2019.  She is a University of Mary Washington graduate and lives in Richmond with her husband, Welford, two children, and a robo dwarf hamster.  Becky loves to camp and hike, read, ride her motorcycle, and paint.
