    Senior Pastor

Reverend Christy Foldenauer joined the Tomahawk family in November 2016. After a career in the financial services industry, Christy earned her Master of Theology degree at Baptist Theological Seminary of Richmond in 2014, and was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel in March of 2015. She previously served as a Discipleship Pastor and also an Interim Youth Pastor, and has been involved in music and worship arts, as well. Her undergrad degree in Communication is from James Madison University. She is married to Adam and together they have three kids. When she's away from work, Christy loves creative endeavors, music, and is an avid reader.

  • Rev. ross wright

    worship pastor

Ross became a part of the Tomahawk team in the summer of 2018. Since his early teens, Ross has been a part of various worship teams, bands, songwriting groups and recording projects. In his ministry career, he has served in churches as worship leader, arts director and teaching pastor.  When he is not at work, Ross can be found writing and recording music, collaborating with other artists, story writing, and playing in his sister's band (Rebekah Rafferty & the Wakes). Ross and his wife Amanda have three kids and a cat.

  • Virginia Otey

    children's pastor

Virginia is the very newest to the team and she couldn't be more excited to start her ministry career at Tomahawk. She comes to us after two summers of interning at Friendship Baptist and three years of serving at Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM) at VCU. She is currently finishing her senior year at Virginia Commonwealth University and plans to attend seminary after graduation. Virginia can also be found working as a financial assistant for the Support Ministry Team of the BGAV, drinking way too much coffee, and enjoying everything RVA has to offer.

  • Niki Mason

    office administrator

Niki is the woman who holds down the front office while supporting the TBC community and she's been enjoying this role since January of 2017. Before coming to TBC, Niki helped churches secure loans and prior to that, she was in the project management field. She bleeds orange and maroon (i.e. she's a Virginia Tech grad) who can't stand to finish a book without having the next one handy. Niki uses her project management background, muscle, and construction skills on both foreign and domestic mission projects, one of her great passions, but also in her home where she juggles the joys of raising her children. Southside Church of the Nazarene is where she sings her heart out, leads a women's Bible study, and has been called to lead a local mission team.
