Prayer Shawl Ministry Leadership Team

The Prayer Shawl Ministry, much like the original group founded in Hartford, Connecticut, is structured to bring compassion and the love of knitting and crocheting into a prayerful ministry and spiritual practice which reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace as well as celebration and joy. The shawl maker begins, and continues with prayers and blessings for the recipient. A final blessing is offered before the shawl is sent on it way.
If you would like to be in an old fashioned "sewing bee" atmosphere with friendly people, doing some good for others, this could be your spot. All are welcome. Knowledge of crocheting or knitting is NOT a prerequisite. Many talented hands have offered to teach those who wish to learn.

Meeting Place: Prayer Shawl Ministry Room, off the Fellowship Hall at Tomahawk
Meeting Time: Each Monday, 10:30-12:30 with the exception of the 4th Monday of the month. If Guys and Dolls are meeting at the church, the prayer shawl time will be 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Participants are then invited to attend the Guys and Dolls meeting/activities at 10:30 a.m.
